Eric Amouzou
President and Board Member

Eric Amouzou is a passionate and dedicated leader in music and worship ministry. Hailing from Ghana, Eric began his musical journey with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. He has also earned a Master’s in Church Music from Baylor University in 2019 and is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in Church Music at the same institution. With more than 15 years of practical experience, Eric has held various music ministry positions in both Ghana and the United States. 

As both a board member and the executive director/president of Worthship House Incorporated, Eric is the organization’s driving force. His responsibilities include overseeing its business affairs and ensuring adherence to its mission of being a leading catalyst for transformative worship ministry in West Africa, the African diaspora in the United States, and beyond. 

In addition to these roles, Eric serves as the Minister of Music at Greater Bosqueville Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, where he inspires and leads a dynamic worship community. He also works as a graduate consultant at the Baylor University Writing Center, promoting academic excellence among students. Eric’s passion for worship ministry extends beyond his organizational responsibilities. He is actively involved in speaking at worship conferences, emphasizing worship from a global perspective. Eric also develops worship programs for growing ministries in African-led churches within the diaspora in the United States, thereby enriching worship experiences in diverse communities. His work exemplifies his commitment to spreading the transformational power of music and worship in the global church. 

Philip S. Thomas
Vice President and Board Member

Philip S. Thomas was born in Chennai, South India, and did his bachelor’s in music education from the Bangalore Conservatory. He taught music for several years, having specialized in classroom pedagogy and applied piano instruction. He then completed his Masters in Church Music from Baylor University, Waco, TX and has since been involved in music ministries in the church.

Philip serves as Vice President for Worthship House. In that role he helps in crafting and executing the vision and mission of the organization and fleshing out the content and planning for different projects, particularly the annual Discover Conference.

Philip is currently employed by Faith Temple Baptist Church, Lorena, TX as youth and worship leader. He loves reading, traveling, and is passionate about discipling future ministers and lay leaders.

Marcelline Borlabi
Recruitment Officer and Board Member

Marcelline Borlabi hails from Ghana and currently pursues her doctoral studies in Political Science at the University of Florida. She serves as member of the Board of Directors at Worthship House Incorporated, where her responsibilities include spearheading the recruitment initiatives. In addition to her scholarly pursuits, Marcelline is a dedicated worship minister at Royal House Chapel, bringing her passion for music and spirituality to congregations with a profound reverence for the divine. Renowned for her inspiring ministerial contributions, she is frequently invited to participate in various programs, where her uplifting presence and musical talents deeply resonate with audiences.

Alysia Amouzou
Secretary and Treasurer and Board Member

Alysia Amouzou is a Licensed Social Worker from Dallas, Texas. She is currently both the secretary and treasurer of Worthship House. She strives to maintain the financial integrity of the organization and maintain positive communications with Worthship House’s organizational partners. Outside Worship House, Alysia is a proud child and adolescent mental health case worker at the local mental health authority. In her free time, she enjoys ministering through praise dance and spending time with family and friends.

Mercy Thomas
Social Media Manager and Officer

Mercy Thomas hails from Andra Pradesh, South India, where she did her Bachelors is Microbiology and Biochemistry. Having lead worship for more than fifteen years in her home church, she was then led to pursue worship studies at the Bangalore Conservatory, where she completed her Bachelors in Church Music.

Mercy is an officer for Worthship House where she uses her artistic talents as a social media manager and creative designer. She designs posters, edits videos, and manages the social media accounts for Worthship House. She also lends her talent as a creative visionary for marketing and media for various projects under Worthship House, namely the annual Discover Conference.

Outside of Worthship House, Mercy is a homemaker who loves to bake, cook, sing, design, decorate, and spend time with her family. She is married to Philip Thomas, and they have a 5-year-old son, Zachary Thomas. They reside in Waco, TX.

Valentine Borlabi
Chaplain and Officer

Valentine Borlabi comes from Ghana. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Professional Studies in Ghana. Currently serving as an officer and holding the position of Chaplain at Worthship House Incorporated, Valentine brings a wealth of dedication and expertise to his role. In his capacity as Chaplain, Valentine is deeply invested in the spiritual well-being of the organization, infusing his work with a profound commitment to the principles and teachings of the word of God. He is a lover of the things of God.
